Kicking things of for our new monthly feature on the lives of your favourite pornstars, we spoke to the stunning Theo Ford.
Howdy Theo! How did you get into the business?
As I moved to Paris from my home town of Waterford at age 19 I was signed to a modelling agency. A few years later a producer saw my professional pictures online and liked my look. He contacted me right away. At first I was curious and in need of an adventure. I was 25 and working in fashion but I guess my life felt somehow too “settled”. I also had been fascinated by famous porn stars since my teenage years, after seeing the amazing FALCON movies and the cover models on the VHS (yes I’m that old haha). To me it was a deeply selfish fantasy and endeavour. To be perfectly honest I never had the ambition to become famous nor make a career out of porn. It has been such a blessing and a crazy roller-coaster ride. To this day I still can’t believe all the things that have happened, the accomplishments and the insane experiences I went through. I’ve lived a thousand lives and grown into a person I never imagined would exist. My life experiences have taught me to look beyond, to carry a deeper introspective look into society. Even if life has thrown one too many curve balls my way, I feel blessed to be here and share my stories; hopefully to inspire others to live their own truth.
Favourite guys to fuck with?
Porn is NOT about fucking. Porn is a performance. In no way is porn like a Grindr hookup. You need to know your angles, know where the lights are, the cameras, the microphones. You don’t fuck on set. It is a common misguided mistake people make. Porn is about fantasy, second degree storylines, physical abilities. Nothing I do on set translates to what I would do in my own personal life. We are actors, we act. That being said my favourite co-stars are numerous. Gabriel Cross, Paddy O’Brian and Johnny V are some of the actors I love on and off set.
What would you say was your biggest achievement in the industry?
There’s obviously a few things I feel proud of within my years in the business but to me what truly matters is being able to give back. I have a large following and having this platform is an opportunity not to be missed. I use it to communicate on societal issues, to promote education, sexual health, diversity. To break down stereotypes and hopefully inspire others. To me what matters is not what I can get from this job, but what this job allows me to give back.
Some performers also escort in addition to making films, is that something you do?
Yes of course. I love having private clients. I meet amazing people while working. It’s also essential when you travel around the world filming. When you are on location across the globe productions and income are not constant. It allows you to have more stability and be more flexible for movies and hopefully a glimmer of personal life.
What things arouse you most about a person?
Their brain. I guess I could call myself sapiosexual, being sexually attracted to intelligence. To me nothing is worth more that a brilliant mind. Your brain is also your biggest sexual organ. That being said, someone who makes me laugh and cooks for me has my eternal love.
Cut or uncut?
To me barbaric acts especially carried out to the genital area is sickening. In both men and women we have seen this happen. Of course for certain religious beliefs acts are carried out but I do not condone those acts for misguided health reasons. We live in 2018; we all take multiple showers a day so there should be no health risk to being uncut. Why would I want to remove a part of my body? Especially my foreskin than allows for greater sensory abilities.
Outdoors or indoors?
Living in London, indoors is best but outdoors is the most magical setting. I remember having sex on a beach of white sand in Mauritius. Nothing beats nature!
Kinks or vanilla?
I’m extremely romantic. To me kinks distract from the actual human connection with your partner. I don’t really like labels but to me sex needs to be natural and not staged.
Biggest fetish?
I don’t have any specific fetishes but one thing people forget, and are usually horrible at, is kissing. Kissing is the simplest act and yet few master it. A kiss can make you feel in love, a kiss can turn you on, a kiss can make you feel safe. Kissing is my favourite thing to do.
Dream scene partner?
It would be amazing to shoot a scene with a guy I’m in love with. Being able to translate my love into a performance would be incredible. All I need now is to fall in love, and hopefully have him agree to it; keep your fingers crossed!
