We caught up with one of the cutest CockyBoys, Levi Carter, to find out what it’s like to be him, what he loves about his job and why porn is such a positive force in today’s world.
Hey Levi! How are you and what are you doing at this very minute?
Hey! I am good! I am on a train, on my way home from the city. I haven’t been home since the Str8up awards, last weekend, and can’t wait to see my dog!
Where do you hail from originally and where are you based now?
I was born in Paraguay — was there for a year and 1/2 and then was adopted and raised in Ohio — but now I am currently living in New York. It will be my 5th year here and still loving it!
What initially attracted you to the adult entertainment industry?
Honestly, I have always been very interested in sex. I remember I was horrible about erasing the browser history — sorry mom. I also loved how a lot of the “divas” I looked up to used and showed sexuality as an act of freedom or power—or just positive self expression. So that combined with my natural interest to sex, I saw myself wanting to be the hot guy on the screen, or the fun stripper on pole or platform in the clubs haha — if that makes sense.
What was your first film?
My first film was appearing in Jake Jaxson’s Roadstrip — which was a sequel to Project GoGo Boy with Jake Bass and Max Ryder. I had a scene with Jake in Roadstrip — and then at the end of the movie, he makes Max drive back to the coffee shop where I “worked” and took me on the road with them! It’s a cute and goofy movie, if y’all haven’t seen it yet.
What do you enjoy about porn? Both from a viewing perspective and as a participant.
Well the boys for starters. So many beautiful boys and the MEN. Haha — But on a more serious thought, I really enjoy and believe that we need to have an open conversation about sex as a whole. I don’t believe it is healthy for our world to sweep the conversation of sex under the rug, or to repress or shame yourself or others for thinking or wanting to talk or act upon sex. I love and believe that porn helps provide some of those conversations and also can provide motivation for people to start engaging in a healthy conversation about sex, whether that’s a serious one between your partner or parent or child, or just a goofy one with your friend like “hey I saw this video or something.” I just don’t want sex to be or feel shameful to myself or others, and I really think porn helps break that wall down or atleast opens the conversation.
What’s the best thing about being one of the CockyBoys?
It’s sappy but true. It is the people who work there. I am so lucky to be a part of a group of such hardworking, dedicated, authentic, unapologetic, proud, talented, I could go on — but I love the models I work with and the bosses I work for. I believe in their work, and their message to live your sexual life as free and guilt free as possible.
Do you have a favourite scene or scene partner from your CockyBoys career thus far?
They change every once in a while. Now I have a handful of favorites. One of my favorites, is one of my firsts — and I always ask JJ & RJ to set something like that up again — but it’s my 3 way with Hayden Lourd and Ty Rodrick. My favorite scene and partner right now would have to be the weekend I spent with Ben Masters in Fire Island. We weren’t dating yet and I had so many butterflies the whole time.
Is there a CockyBoy you haven’t had the chance to work with yet that you’re dying to meet?
Not at the moment. We have a few new handsome guys that I definitely wouldn’t say no to though.
Where’s the most beautiful place you have travelled for filming and do you have a dream destination to shoot a scene in?
I think, for me, it would have to be when we shot Just Love in Vieques, Puerto Rico. The scenery was unbelievably beautiful! London & Mexico City has the hottest guys though…
You also have a drag alter ego called Sassy, tell us about her!
I do! Sassy Frass has been around for a few years — my best friend (and now drag mom), Ryan, is a drag queen, (who’s drag name is Misty Meaner), and I love drag queens and being around them and I of course had an interest in seeing what it would be like if I did it and I LOVED IT!!! Sassy first just started going out every once in a while just to hang out with Misty and see her show and talk and hang. It wasn’t until a year from now, that I told Ryan that I am interested in performing and working towards building a name and platform for Sassy — Ryan has taught me and helped me improve and learn everything I know – and not just that, but has opened me up to the wonderful world of drag — and I could not be happier or more thankful for her helping me do that.
After you were interviewed about your passion for drag in Mic, what was the feedback like from viewers and fans?
I honestly have only received positive feedback – at least through direct replies — and I couldn’t be any luckier for that. I was nervous that I would get a backlash or sudden drop interest, and I may lose some people here and there, but I am very happy to see and hear from the people who have stayed and continue to stay connected and supportive.
What do you hope the people who see your scenes feel whilst watching?
I hope that they see that I really do love what I do. I really am proud of it and do not have any regrets choosing the path I took lifestyle wise — and I hope that gives them happiness and hope for themselves to be and do whatever makes them happy (as long as you are not harming yourself or others).
What attracts you to a person?
Confidence, positivity, and respect for themselves and others. When I see those qualities in a guy, I am VERY attracted to them. Other than that, I don’t really have a type – I like them all! Older is definitely a turn on and funny and a little cocky is also hot in my book.
What makes you happy?
So many things! Haha — my dog, most food, cute boys, Wendy Williams, Rihanna, weed, drag queens, friends in bars. As long as everyone’s happy, I’m happy — and I LOVE to laugh.
What’s your motto in life?
“Don’t think about it” – I think everyone from time to time gets in their head by thinking or anticipating something too much, and end up not being happy with the outcome. I think people should think before they do anything to a certain point, but I just think the world should always be able to take a deep breath, relax, maybe come back to whatever is in their head at a different time and really enjoy life and whatever is happening in the moment right now.
Finally, can you tell us anything about your upcoming scenes/films with CockyBoys and when they’re out?
I am about to film with a super hot guy in the next couple weeks, but I think that’s all I’m allowed to say at the moment. I am also really looking forward to coming to Paris this month and also be in a European sex show with Allen King! Stay tuned for that, FOR SURE!
