AN INTRODUCTION
In 2008 two guys called Steve and Mickey organised their first gay skinhead night in Boltz Club, the Midland’s horniest and sleaziest cruise club. Back then they called it Birmingham Gay Skins… It’s now known as British Gay Skins (BGS).
Their vision was to not just to put on great events for gay skinheads, but also to unite gay skins across Europe. To develop a sense of community and a social network for guys of every creed, colour, sexuality, age and size who are into fetish skin attire or the skinhead lifestyle and culture.
The first BGS Skin Night was a huge success and soon became a regular fixture at Boltz, now home to sell out event Full-On-Fetish and loads of other pervy fetish nights like SportLadz and Dare To Bare.
As popularity grew, the promoters came up with the idea of having an annual skinhead weekend event, and in January 2009 Oi-Fest! was created.
While BGS Skin Nights continued to run on a bi monthly basis, the first Oi-Fest! Weekend took place in November 2009 and approximately 300 skins attended. By last year’s Oi-Fest! 03, numbers had almost doubled and guys were not only coming from all over the UK, but from all over Europe too.
Oi-Fest has become an annual pilgrimage for gay skins, and is now a major gay skinhead event and one of the biggest of its kind in Europe.
