Just as there’s more to life than what we perceive, there’s more to the first four-part chapter of Jake Jaxson’s epic ALL SAiNTS than what you’re seeing. You could describe ALL SAiNTS as an erotic, inter-dimensional, time-spanning journey in which characters question their own reality, confront their past as well as their past lives, and work their way through the spiral of life, here and beyond. That much is all true. But life itself is often full of surprises so too is ALL SAiNTS …and it’s just getting started at CockyBoys.
ALL SAiNTS is a follow-up to Jake Jason’s award-winning series ANSWERED PRAYERS but it also ties into THE HAUNTING and MEETING LIAM, two scare-fests about tortured family lineage, which launched at Cocky Boys on several Halloween holidays. At the heart of ANSWERED PRAYERS was a war between two mystical factions determining the fate of our earthly plane of existence. While it came to a conclusion, ALL SAiNTS shows that battle was not conclusive, just like the American Civil War which plays a important role here and in subsequent chapters. The journeys of AP characters such as Puck (Levi Karter) and The Banker (Ricky Roman) continue here and their roles as conduits between two worlds and between the past & present are further explored.
ANSWERED PRAYERS touched on different mythologies and religions as does ALL SAiNTS, with one perfectly appropriate location at the center of it all: New Orleans. It’s the city with a unique history, forged from a variety of influences, cultural and religious, and where the past & present co-exist. More specifically there’s the religious studies institute where three new characters drive the story forward. There are the nameless men the Professor/Priest (Adam Ramzi) and an estate lawyer (Carter Dane) as well as student Adrian (Calvin Banks). All whom have histories and motivations at the heart of a larger mystery: who are they really? Add to this mix one more character, student Troy Accola who has the ability to see the truth but hasn’t quite connected the dots.
For the most part though it’s the nameless character played by Carter Dane whose story most represents ALL SAiNTS Chapter 1 and which is woven into its tapestry.
Assigned to do an audit in New Orleans he’s a confident, albeit cynical man who secretly loathes the person inside and his actions and punishes himself to the extreme as a result. It’s through a fateful encounter with one of the characters mentioned here that Carter Dane’s suppressed secrets begin to make themselves known and his own startling truth begins to be revealed.
Towards the end of ALL SAiNTS Chapter 1 it comes full circle to The Banker (Ricky Roman), whose story launched ANSWERED PRAYERS. His unexpected post-AP fate in prison includes his being under the influence of yet another mystical character (François Sagat) through intense, sexually driven visitations. These encounters draw the attention of the institute and they continue after his release, with one ultimate sexual encounter. Through this experience The Banker crosses over into another realm inhabited by other beings…and the spiral form which is ostensibly tied to the opening of ALL SAiNTS as well as the story going forward.
