Known to many in the early noughties as Boots Bar, BOLTZ – as it’s now known – is Birmingham’s only Men Only members club, and in our opinion, is truly one of a kind!
You’ll find BOLTZ on the outskirts of Birmingham’s Gay Village, and the club is popular with both the local trade, and horny up-for-it guys visiting the Midlands from all over the UK and abroad.
If you’re a skinhead (or if blokes in tight bleachers, braces and Dr Martin boots make you go weak at the knees) then you’ve probably already been to BOLTZ when it hosts the annual international Skinhead Weekender OiFest!
Spread over two floors, BOLTZ offers a safe, friendly and discreet environment for gay and bisexual men, and offers a ‘happy hour’ between 3pm and 9pm, Monday to Saturday and until 8pm on Sundays.
The upper level is mainly for special events, and has its own bar, chill out area, a large darkroom, cages, stage and a dance floor… But it’s downstairs that you’ll find two large darkrooms, (one of which is fully equipped with a bathtub), glory hole cabins, private booths, a cinema room and The Bullring.
• THE BULLRING
Open at weekends and during special events, The Bullring is BOLTZ’ fantasy area and is what makes the venue stand out from others. It features seven – yes seven – different theme rooms, each with its own door to keep things private, and can be hired for birthdays or special events, etc.
• The Sauna Room has that hot and sweaty, sexually charged feel to it that gay saunas have and also has a sling in it.
• The Dungeon Room is, well, just like a dungeon and is kitted out with a sling and a dog kennel in the wall.
• The Worship Room houses a large throne and a cage, and is the perfect place to sit, relax and await the arrival of your next grovelling subject.
• The Web Room contains a ‘spider’s web’ of chains which, as we’ve seen in many a porn film, can be the perfect backdrop for a sleazy encounter.
• The Bike Room has a large motorbike in it (perfect to fuck over) and is parked up under a tree with a thick old trunk (perfect to get fucked against). The entire room is decorated in an outdoors theme, which appeals to guys who like fucking in the great outdoors.

• EVENTS AT BOLTZ

• DARE TO BARE
The first Sunday of the month at BOLTZ gives Sunday afternoons a whole new meaning! The clue’s in the name and there’s a strict dress code of naked or underwear only! Free dressing gowns are provided for the smoking garden and it’s FREE entry before 8pm!
• FULL-ON-FETISH
Re-launched in November 2011, Full-On-Fetish is a long running club night at BOLTZ and has a huge following, attracting horny and up-for-it guys from all over the UK.
The night offers guys something a little different to the usual Midlands and UK gay scene, with both levels of BOLTZ open with 2 huge floors open, incorporating five cruise areas, The Bullring, the bath tub room and the porn cinema.
Well known Fetish Scene DJ, and friend of QXMEN, Zack Hadley, is the resident DJ at Full-On-Fetish and the sexy bugger belts out non-stop house tunes all night long for the up-for-it crowd.
Zack has kept the dance floors busy of mega events full at events such as Suzie Krueger’s Hard On in London and Manfest in Manchester, so you know this guy’s going to be good!
Much to the delight of everyone there, the re-launch has seen international porn stars appearing on stage at Full-On-Fetish. Last November, horny leather guy Dolan Wolf performed a sleazy show in front of a salivating crowd.

• BIRMINGHAM PRIDE
BOLTZ has a lot of exciting, horny events planned for Birmingham Pride, which takes place over the first weekend of June.
