QXMEN has had our eyes on this blonde hunk for quite some time now. He’s hardly been off the radar, starring in some of the biggest productions in recent years including Raging Stallion’s To The Last Man, Focus and Drifter, Hot House’s King Size, Lucas Entertainment’s Gigolo and Titan Media’s Home Invasion…to name but a few…
And when we posed a few probing questions to Scott Tanner, he turned out to be just as friendly as he is sexy.

You were born January 21st 1979, yes?

That is correct… 31 years old, and loving it!! I’m so happy to be out of my twenties!

Where were you born and raised, and where do you live now?

I was born on a farm in rural Pennsylvania and was raised between the farm and the apartment in NYC. My father was a farm boy and my ma is a city girl, so I spent the fall and winter on the farm, going to school, then spent the summers in the city.

What was your profession before you started working in the porn industry?

Well, Immediately after college I moved back to NYC and worked as an Acct. Exec. for GENRE magazine, selling advertising. It was a great job for a gay man in his twenties in NYC… I absolutely loved it. After a couple years there, I took a job as a Conference Producer in the Pharmaceutical Industry. My territory was mainly Amsterdam and Dublin, so again a great job and experience.

Unfortunately, there were no new drugs or guidelines coming out for what was almost a two year span, so many people were laid off and many companies were dissolved. Now I’m Production and Casting Coordinator for Raging Stallion Studios. Surprisingly enough, it’s not all that different than producing pharmaceutical conferences. Instead of finding, negotiating fees, and babysitting scientists and chemists for a week, I’m now doing all of that with porn models. It’s just that I can relate to and understand these guys better, having been there myself.

And how did you get into the business?

I was in my junior year of college and I had a friend who was shooting still photos for advertising and box covers for a porn company in Los Angeles. He called me one day and said that someone had dropped out of the project last minute and wanted to know if I would be interested.

Now, I had always been kind of an exhibitionist and had posed nude for art classes and other projects, but never to this extend. I was intrigued and so I said yes. Two days later I was on a plane for the first time heading to West Hollywood!

Were you nervous doing your first scene?

No, I really wasn’t. I had met my scene partner in the   hotel the night before – and we were attracted to one    another – but I wanted to keep that excitement going, so we didn’t do anything. By the time we got on set we couldn’t wait to get going. And the entire crew was amazing. After the shoot, everyone sat around and chose a name for me…This was in 2000/2001, so almost 10 years ago…Ugh!

Are you top, bottom or versatile?

Versatile.

Who’s the hottest TOP in the industry?

Hhhhmmm… I hate these questions because I’m friends with most of these guys and if I pick the wrong one, then I’m gonna’ upset someone.

And the hottest BOTTOM?

This one’s easy… Paul Wagner (pictured inset). He’s actually a really good top too… At least at home he is.

What’s your favourite position?

Doggie style!! Whether I’m top or bottom, that’s my favourite.

So what turns Scott Tanner on?

BIG arms!! I love a guy whose biceps stretch out his t-shirt in just the right places.

You’ve starred in some of the major big-budget porn flicks to date… What can we look forward to next?

I really don’t know. I worked A LOT in 2008/2009 and really needed a break, and it felt great to not have to be in front of the camera so much.

I’m doing more projects now – actually filming a long awaited scene next week, with my best friend, Adam Killian. We have wanted to do this for years and never could make it work, so now we’re finally getting the opportunity.

It should be interesting – if we can stop laughing long enough to get the shot. Also, Paul and I are gonna’ be shooting another scene together this month. I just take them as they come now.

I’m just happy to be able to choose and not have to take every gig, just because I need the money. There are a few companies that I haven’t worked for that I would still like to experience before I’m done… One of the hottest being Men At Play. I love their stuff… so hot!

If you had the chance to direct a scene and cast the other performers, who would you choose and what would happen?

I would keep it really simple and stick to shooting the sex. I’d take the time to cast guys who I know have chemistry and are great performers. I don’t care how hot you are – or think you are. If you don’t have chemistry with your partner, or you aren’t a good performer, it will show.

What’s your favourite porn movie of all time?

That would be Chi Chi LaRue’s Link 2 Link. It was one of those that I don’t even remember how I came to watch it, but was so incredibly turned on by it. When she asked me to be in Link: The Evolution, I was ecstatic… It was the easiest decision I’ve ever made!

Finish this sentence. The best part about being a porn star is…

Being able to play roles and live out fantasies in a safe and controlled environment that you probably wouldn’t normally get the opportunity to do in your private life.

What do you do to relax?

I cook. I’ve said this before, I really love to get up early on a Sunday morning and go to the farmers market and grab some really fresh ingredients and spend the day just cooking.

You’re dating porn star Paul Wagner, and can we just say what a fine couple you two make! Now, you may shatter a thousand guys’ illusions of what you two get up to in your spare time, but is it true that Paul recently knitted a red and white Christmas dress for your dog Chloe?

LOL! He is going to kill me!! Yes, it is true… But it was more of a challenge and to prove to me and himself that he could do it. He loves that dog so much – soooo much – and one day he saw a dog with a knitted dress and I told him he would never be able to do that.

So to prove me wrong, he did it!! I was shocked!! And I know there were times when he just wanted to say “fuck it”, and throw it away. But his pride is bigger than that and he just had to prove to me that he could do it… It’s actually pretty cute.

If the world were to end tomorrow what would you rush out and do?

I would surround myself with friends and I would eat and I would party!! You would see me in a club with a pizza, having the time of my life with my closest friends and not a care in the (soon to be ending) world.

Any plans to come to the U.K.?

I would love too!! Paul and I have both only been to London for a very short time, like a day or two. We would love to come back and spend some more time. We are looking into it.
