The original RED Sling Frame, the brainchild of designer and manufacturer Derek Ball, of RED (Restraint Engineered Designs) and KinkyBeds.com, first appeared on the market in March 2010 and quickly established itself as the strongest and most stable sling frame around.

Now RED is launching its latest design, a new RED Lightweight Sling Frame. It’s a real innovation as the weight of the frame has been reduced by more than 33% to make it eminently more portable, and the price – also 33% less than the original RED Frame – brings it within most guys’ budgets too.
The RED Lightweight Sling Frame is a completely new registered design, which has only an upper cross assembly with four inclined upright columns standing on non-marking rubber feet. The new RED Frame is more rigid than any of the competition, it’s extremely easy to assemble and now light enough to take anywhere.
Being lightweight, however, doesn’t mean that there’s any restriction on the weight the frame can support. It’s been tested in the same way as the original RED Sling Frame… with a 300kg load! The only limitation is that all four columns must be on the ground in use, so if you want a frame that you can tip and roll then you’ll have to stick to the original RED Frame. The same top opening fabric bag is also included.
