10/05/2014: We paid a visit to XXL at Pulse on a Saturday night in May and the club was even more electric than usual as news spread amongst the hirsute revellers that a bearded lady had just won the Eurovision Song Contest!
The vast venue that is Pulse was a smorgasbord of hot muscle guys, beefy blokes, bearded club kids and pretty much everything else in between, all letting loose on the club’s various dance floors, the four bars and in the chill out room to the sounds of DJs Christian M, Alex Logan, Joe Egg, Andy Almighty and Stewart Styles.
Elsewhere, it was one in one out in the ever-popular XXL darkroom, with those that couldn’t be bothered with the wait, cruising the laid-back lounge terrace… Just another night at one of the hottest homo-haunts in town.
